This week I challenged @Mason Swan & @Oh Fugit to some seriously techy practice situations, with the promise I'd try it myself. Here is the raw version. I started with some bicycle practice (a GREAT way to get into the right mindset if you have the chance - with much lower consequences) then I give you a run down of what I'm trying to do - then enjoy 7 minutes of me questioning my life decisions. Anyone else having fun with their practice lately? This was WAY HARDER than I thought it would be. 😅👀
Drop your videos from the week below if you want them reviewed on Wednesday! 👇 (Post your homework practice clips to the group separately to share the stoke!)
Great call this afternoon. No videos to review but the conversation was centered around wheelies and pivots. So the homework this week is simply an extension of last weeks homework. Just working on floating the front end and keeping it in the air like the drill #3 in last weeks homework video. @Mason Swan was assigned a fancy progression to get the front end up, float it around, then get back on the pegs and ride out setting the front tire down.
Got to use this exact thing out on the trails yesterday. You can see the difference between me and my brother Ben on a lot of different things. Power stored in the motor, use of the clutch, body movements, knees out occasionally, putting pressure into the pegs to take advantage of those little moments to gain acceleration. It's tricky putting it all together, but you can see the difference between our riding.

Share your hero moments, wins, biffs or whatever else you want in the comments below. 👇 Today my brother and I set up a “section” or “loop” and raced each other. The terrain was technically very difficult despite looking flat on camera and in person. 🤣 it’s very visually deceiving. The best way to describe it is “fragile dirt” it looks hard pack but it’s all decomposed sandstone so everything crumbles away. It’s like riding on marbles. 🤣
