Do you ask questions for validation or direction?
Morning guys, I’m not pulling any punches today.
I’ve been reflecting on the kinds of questions people ask... and what sits behind them.
Too often, I see questions asked not to find direction, but to seek validation.
To justify why someone isn’t taking action.
To protect the very position they claim they want to change.
Here’s the truth:
👉 Everyone deserves to be where they are.
That might sound harsh, but unless you’re living in a dictatorship, you do have the ability to choose. You’re not a tree.
You’ve got legs.
You can move,
you can change,
you can build something new.
What I know to be true is this:
  • People don’t change until they choose to change.
  • Most people ask questions hoping someone will agree with them and tell them it’s okay to stay where they are.
But let me be clear, if you’re not happy with where you are, then it’s not okay to keep doing what you’re doing.
If you want different results, you need to take different actions.
Because if you keep doing what you’re doing, you’ll keep getting what you’re getting.
So, when you ask your next question… stop and check yourself:
👉 Am I seeking validation?
👉 Or am I truly seeking direction?
