Family, I want to let you in on something I haven’t shared in a while.
For seven years I ran a thriving real-estate investment business.
The money was good, the accolades steady, the Instagram-worthy “wins” rolling in… and I was miserable.
Behind the highlight reel lived a man drowning in anxiety, numbing with late-night pain pills and scrolling, wondering why every new deal felt like another brick on my chest.
Looking back, I see it so clearly: God kept dropping gentle hints…deals falling through at the last minute, partnerships imploding, a nagging whisper that said “This isn’t it.”
I ignored the whisper. So the nudge became a shove.
Addiction. Depression. Rock bottom.
Only then did I finally ask, “What if the door closing is actually saving me?”
The moment I surrendered, space opened for the work I do now..guiding men and women to heal, to lead with purpose, to live free.
The money came slower at first. The recognition looked different.
But the peace? Priceless.
Turns out, “failure” was divine protection in disguise.
A Simple Practice for Today
- Pause & Recall Grab a journal or the Notes app on your phone. List one door that recently slammed shut.. big or small.
- Flip the Script Under the door, write three ways its closing might be protecting or redirecting you. Don’t overthink; let possibilities flow.
- Release & Receive Close your eyes for one full minute. On every exhale say, “I trust the redirection.” On every inhale say, “Guide me to what’s next.”
Do this once today. If it feels good, repeat tomorrow.
Tiny shifts in perspective create massive freedom over time.
Remember:
If it flows, embrace it.
If it closes, bless it.
Either way, you are being guided…always.
