A Surprise at Atomic Golf
Yesterday my wife and went to Atomic Golf here in vegas for her work party. We Had a great time with the all you can eat and drink package!! Atomic golf is a competitor for Topgolf out here. Well, I do not think that atomic golf is better than topgolf as far as the way they’re positioned literally with the sun, beaming down in your face in the afternoon. Their machines in their virtual golf are competitive, but I think topgolf has the edge. I do think that they compete on service. And yesterday they did something that pushed them to the lead in my mind. About at the halfway point of our party, they had a photographer come by with a nice camera and asked us if we wanted to do a group photo. I had no real idea why they were doing this thought maybe it was for social media or something like that. At the end of the night, they brought a framed photograph that we got to keep at no charge. (Picture is in the post ) And said “here’s a little something for you to remember you’re time together. Thank you so much for choosing atomic golf.” I don’t imagine this cost a ton of money to do this, but in a world where everyone is trying to upsell you and nickel and dime you around every corner, this moment in their experience stands out. This is what we call a recurring moment. You have one size fits one moment or you’re doing something that is unique to the individual and you’re going to surprise and delight them. This is apart of their “last impression” that leaves a Lasting impression… someone in their organization, paid attention enough to elevate their experience with this consistent way that they can surprise and delight their customers. We can do the same thing in our business. Do you see any moments in your process that you could do something that would make you stand out? This happens you really pay attention to the client journey in all of the areas where you can elevate the experience
