🪵 Indian Clubs – Old School Strength That Still Works
The Indian Clubs were first introduced to me many years ago by my Great Uncle (my dad’s uncle).
He served in the British military during the Second World War and was one of those old-school tough men who believed in staying physically capable for life. He lived into his late 90s — and he was active for almost all of it.
He learned Indian Clubs while serving… and he never stopped using them.
That always stuck with me.
Indian Clubs might look simple, but they are an incredible training tool for:
Shoulder health
Arm strength
Grip endurance
Coordination
Joint mobility
Longevity training
They build strong, resilient shoulders in a way that modern gym machines just don’t. Circular strength. Fluid strength. Functional strength.
I’m digging my set out of the shed and bringing them back into my own training.
This short video shows you how to start using them properly.
If you’ve never tried them before — give them a go. Your shoulders will thank you in 20 years 💪
Have any of you trained with Indian Clubs before?
