Why Most Writing Plans Collapse
Writers often think the plan is the problem.
But it’s usually the energy behind the plan.
Your brain has different creative states throughout the day.
Research from cognitive psychologists shows that creative thinking tends to peak when the brain is relaxed but alert which most often happens in mornings or early evenings.
If you’re always trying to write when you’re exhausted, the process will feel like pushing uphill.
So experiment this week.
Ask yourself:
When do I feel most mentally alive?
That might be your natural writing window.
Not everyone has the same time that works best.
So, it’s good to reflect, ponder, and find the best time for you!
Explorers learn the rhythms of the land before they start the journey.
Writers should do the same. ✍️
