So, a book timeline differs person to person. This is just a general take on how long it can be if you plan on self-publishing.
⚡ Month 1: Planning & Pre-Writing (Weeks 1-4)
⚡ Month 2: Writing the First Draft (Weeks 5-8)
⚡ Month 3: Finishing the First Draft & Self-Editing (Weeks 9-12)
⚡ Month 4: Professional Editing & Revisions (Weeks 13-16)
⚡ Month 5: Publishing Prep & Marketing Setup (Weeks 17-20)
⚡ Month 6: Pre-Launch, Book Launch & Promotions (Weeks 21-24)
