@Shawn Helgerson Understandable, but once you spend the time to mull over names...you might find one that fits. What do you feel would be more to your liking? I always liked to be able to use the place I was born, town or state...like John Griffith Chaney or as he was better known as....Jack London! Plus, it will depend on what you write... Say, romance or erotica might not fit with Sean Murdock....but if you wrote a Spy novel, in my eyes, Sean Murdock would be a great name. Pen names would be dependent on many factors.... Like Theodor Geisel...Better know as Dr. Seuss! Do you know why he went by Dr. Seuss? Two factors: Getting in trouble in college in 1925 ~ Prohibition Law violation ( Drinking gin, and not being able to contribute or being Editor to Dartmouth College's humor magazine.) He started submitting articles secretly with his middle name and mother's maiden name...Seuss. Then later on, as a nod towards his father, he added the "Dr." portion whom he hoped Theo would practice medicine. He also used Theo LeSieg, for books he wrote but did not illustrate himself. Other names he used: ~ Rosetta Stone: Used this pen name to honor his second wife, in 1975 penning: Little Bug Went Ka-Choo!! ~ Theophrastus Seuss: An early variation for his time as a cartoonist in the 1920's. (Sorry, just a big fan of Dr. Seuss.) For you, I would have fun with it and just do what fits right! I. P. Freely ~ Signing out!!!!
