Possibility vs Problems
One of the challenges I see... and frankly, struggle with from time to time
is how easily we get caught up in finding problems
rather than exploring possibilities.
I spent years working as an analyst and in customer experience,
where a big part of my job was identifying problems
and clearly defining them.
That was important. You can't develop effective solutions
if you don't understand the problem you're trying to solve.
But one thing we often did was brainstorm what was possible
before determining what we had the budget to make happen.
First, imagine what could be. Then figure out how to make it work.
Even with that background, I have to remind myself of this in my own life.
It's easy to start thinking about the limitations, the costs,
and all the reasons something might not work
before I've given myself time to explore what I actually want to create.
Sometimes we need to put the practicalities aside for a moment
and allow ourselves to think beyond our current circumstances.
What possibilities might you be overlooking
because you're too busy worrying
about how to make them happen?
Maybe the first step isn't figuring out the budget or building the plan.
Maybe it's giving yourself permission to imagine what's possible.
