I was watching a slew of NFL Wildcard games this weekend and caught this spot. As an ADMAN, it is tough to get me to actually laugh at a 30 second TV spot. But I did... and now have another +1 in the PROGRESSIVE auto insurance grey matter pile in my head. 🧠 Kudos to Arnold Worldwide, the agency that created the equally amusing "Dr. Rick" spots. Award season is coming up, so I thought I’d make a leave-behind for people to forget in their padfolios! As a writer without a logo, I didn’t know what to put on the front. So I decided to draw inspiration from my passion outside of advertising. ⚾️

Bill Bernbach was the guy behind VW's "Lemon" ad. He started Doyle Dane Bernbach back in 1949 which later became DDB Needham and today is known as DDB Worldwide. As an art director, he was really the first guy to get the AD to the creative table with the CD and Sr. Copywriter. Many of you are familiar with the Ad Professor on LinkedIn (and other platforms)... many of the ads they create are great in concept. for brands projects real (and imagined). Some miss the mark - IMHO. Here are two that I stumbled on to today. What's your opinion?

You should know. You planned it. You created it. Your viewer is going to head straight for your bullseye. And then what? Is that it, or can you offer a little more? A twist, perhaps?
