Temple of The Tides Updates
Alaafia everyone! We have some exciting news! We have some new faces in here as well! Welcome to Temple of the tides! Starting in January I will be going Live in our Skool space! I will cover an array of topics that are spiritually based. This will be part of the free program I am building. From time to time we will do a group ritual. I have a lot of information to share with you all. I want to go live and teach when you all can be present. Attached to this post is a poll. Please complete the poll. Once we choose the frequency for live classes, I will release the first round of what I will be covering. I will be releasing the Practitioner Mentorship interest form in January. I will be holding inter-teas with everyone who applies. The mentorship is a paid, and it comes with a mentorship kit. Filled with all the things you will need. I previously stated I would only open 3 spots, because, the folks who I mentor, want to align and possibly initiate. The House I belong to, is currently offering and preparing to have an Eleke Ceremony in Feb. The Eleke ceremony, is an introduction to the Orisa who walk with you. During the Ceremony a spiritual name is given and you start to learn about the destiny chosen and laid out for you; You would become my Godchild. This is not to be taken lightly. There are preliminary steps and things that must be completed to attend this ceremony. It does have a cost associated with it, and it is held in Atlanta Georgia by my Godmother, Rev. Priestess Osun Funke, Iyanifa. Serious inquiries only for the Eleke Ceremony. Send me an email, in the subject put “Eleke Ceremony” prieatessolaiya@yemayasinclinations.com New Year Yemoja Blessing This New Years Day, I will be going to coast and performing an ebo for Yemoja and Olokun. Saturdays with the Ancestors
On Saturday, I have the day to myself. I choose to spend my day with my ancestors. Cleaning the house. Refreshing the alters. Yes, you, read that right. I have multiple alters, I have an Egungun alter and a dearly departed alter. The difference: Your dearly departed ancestors are the people you actually knew in your current life. This I am finding out includes those who knew of you. You know like birth announcements go out to the family. I will mention that when you venerate your dearly departed, it elevates them and supports them. Your Egungun includes all those in your bloodline. On all sides, and known and unknown. Not every ancestor lived of love and light. It is wise to be specific with the type of ancestor you call on. Yesterday we spoke about veneration, today we communing with them. Saying their names, playing favorite music or movies even. Dancing around. Drinking coffee with your ancestors does so many things! How will you spend your Saturday?
Traveling Alters
Traveling Altars: Keeping Your Work Alive on the Move As spiritualists who travel, we understand that when we move, our energy, and our work, moves with us. The road doesn’t pause the calling. Whether it’s for ceremony, business, or rest, our spiritual maintenance remains sacred wherever we are. As a working Priestess who travels throughout the year, I’ve learned that conducting personal rituals cannot cease because of movement. If anything, travel opens new energetic portals, different waters, different lands, and new spirits that greet us along the way. In the video shared here, I go over optional items you can include in a Traveling Altar Bag, also known as a Go Bag, Witch Kit, or whatever name you give your sacred essentials. These are small but powerful tools that keep you grounded, protected, and spiritually prepared when you’re away from home. Remember: your altar doesn’t have to be grand to be effective. It just needs to be intentional. Even a simple setup, a candle, a small cloth, water, or a stone, can become a bridge between you and your spiritual court. ✨ Reflection Prompt:When you travel, what’s the one item you must bring to stay spiritually aligned?
Daily Regimen
What is the first thing you do in the morning? Do you pray? Meditate? Workout? Having a routine in the mornings helps you be consistent on your path and personal journey. I remember when I first started in mentorship. I just knew my ancestors had it out for me waking up at 6am daily for prayer and then 3 more times throughout the day. What I didn’t understand fully was, these times were times my ancestors and spirit guides laid out for me. Slowly but surely, I started to understand just how imperative a morning activation is. And how it can set your day up! This knowledge was given to me via divination by my God Mom. Once I got over the mundane fact that my first prayer time was at 6am, it was smooth sailing!
Ancestral Veneration
Part of your journey so far has likely included people mentioning ancestral veneration. And if it hasn’t yet, let me be the one to introduce it to you clearly and honestly. The simplest way to understand ancestral veneration is this:your ancestors are part of how prayers move. When you pray to God, to Jesus, to the Creator you know, those prayers do not exist in isolation. Across cultures and traditions, it has always been understood that the ancestors work alongside divine authority. They carry, support, and intercede. God has the final say, always. But the ancestors are often the ones assigned to walk with us through the process. This is not rocket science, it is relationship. Many ancestors are still elevating, still working, still learning, still serving. Protection, provision, clarity, prosperity, these things often arrive through ancestral channels because your bloodline has jurisdiction over your life in a way no one else does. Nothing comes without divine approval, and often there are tests, lessons, and timing involved. The ancestors help us navigate those spaces. Yet many people ask for help without ever feeding the relationship. That’s why I created the Ancestral Veneration Ritual Manual & Planner. This is a beginner-friendly, spiritually sound digital guide that teaches you: - what ancestral veneration actually is (and what it is not), - how to set up and maintain an ancestral altar properly, - how to offer libation and understand Asé, - what belongs on the altar and what does not, - prayers, invocations, and simple daily practices, - and how to build consistency without fear or confusion. It is rooted in Ifá, Hoodoo, Lukumí, and Vodou, taught through a diasporic lens, and written to support those who are just starting or returning to this work with intention. 🕯️ Ancestral Veneration Ritual Manual & Planner📄 Digital PDF💲 $15 If you’ve been feeling the pull…If your spirit knows there is more support available to you…If you’re ready to stop guessing and start building relationship…
