I will admit that my first encounter with programming was because of the mammon. I was hearthbroken and needed a push to keep going, so I started this journey in a 4gb RAM Dell Laptop. At some point things had to start breaking down. However, in this midtime, I feel like Linux has opened up new paths for me that I never thought possible. I also feel like studying Linux is one of the most enjoyable things I do right now. It helps me reinforce positive patterns and think from a higher perspective.
That said, I'd love to hear what industry veterans think about Linux.
How do you think the fury of a young Linus Torvalds more than 30 years ago has benefited you in your career?
