We also agreed to define clear career goals for each 6-month period, each tied to a salary increase. After the negotiations, they said they would need to think about it. I hounestly expected a counter-offer with a lower salary and different conditions. The next fucking day, they sent me the signed contract—with a flexible start date and a note hoping I could start as soon as mid-February. I’m still a bit shocked that this actually happened, but I now see the job market with completely new eyes!
