☁👋 On the 5th Day of Cloud Hands...
We begin to refine the movement.
Another common phrase is "separate and combine."
On the 1st DAY we played with the movement of the hands and arms.
On the 2nd DAY we added some substance and structure.
On the 3rd DAY we turned the Kwa (Pelvis) and shifted the weight.
On the 4th DAY we brought it all together.
"One part moves, all parts move."
Today, on the 5th Day, we separate the arms, one at a time.
This way we can focus on refining certain aspects of the motion.
Then we can combine them again later.
Float through the practice...
Float through the day.😎
ENJOY playing in the clouds.☁️🙏
(P.S. I had a discussion with yesterday regarding how to approach these practices and I wanted to give everyone a couple of tips):
There is no rush and there are no rules.
You can stay on the first video for a week or run through all of them in a day.
I've dripped them out this way to give everyone a little time to practice each one and let it sink in both mentally and physically.
Muscle memory and feeling your body has more to do with what we're doing here than mental memorization.
The more you practice the smoother it will become and the less you'll have to think about it.
So the best bet (as with most things) is to practice as often as you can (a few minutes everyday is usually better than an hour once a week) and to revisit videos like these over and over again as you build this practice into your body.
The goal here isn't to "do Cloud Hands", it's to understand the principles involved in order to integrate them into your body because that body is with you in everything you do throughout your daily life.
