There are many schools of thought surrounding breathing. But before you can really do anything specific with the breath, you first have to relax. Let your body breathe, through the nose if you can, and over time it will sink into place. Then you can start to play with doing specific things with it. Take a deep breath. Inhale. Exhale. Release. Don't forget to breathe.🙏
It's Friday‼️ And that means another weekend is right around the corner. Who has big plans (or anti-plans)⁉️ I know @Dinka Salvador has her MOM visiting. Whatchu got going on? 🤷♂️
@Aaron Conrad Chill is always nice. "Medical tourism" would be hilarious if it wasn't so damn sad, lol. Dental can really get you. Hopefully you didn't get them made of metal. A foot injury can be the worst. I've been there more than once. What did you do to it? Hasn't it been a week or two, will it be a speedy recovery? Cooking up schemes maybe, lol. I usually fast on Saturdays and don't eat until the evening.
@Aaron Conrad That's rough. Jow can be a game changer. I have a few different ones for different things. A month is a minute, lol. Gotta heal up. Get some bone broth maybe. I switch up the fasting and kind of just go with what I feel but I do time-restricted pretty much everyday. I've been doing Friday night to Saturday night for a couple of months now. I sprinkle in some 36 hour and even 72 hour from time to time. Did 7 days in July. Not sure if I'll make that a yearly thing or not, might just do 5 days next time.
Music can be a great addition to any practice or play. I've been listening to this Tai Chi Flute inspired playlist recently. What are your go to music options?
Everywhere you turn it's Black Friday this, Black Friday that. Deals. Deals. Deals. Don't get caught up in the hype and the noise. You might find some gems to help you along the way... But stay on the path and don't be swayed to stray. Have you found any must haves to kickoff the shopping season?
@Cecile Hofmann Yeah that's rough. They've really convinced people that all this nonsense is normal. I'm all for people being who they are and not having to conform to what the system wants but they don't understand that this isn't that. It's still conforming. There is nothing natural about sitting inside all day at a desk. So to cover that up they went completely off the deep end of unnatural and then tried to make everyone conform to that. A person is not a cat. A boy is not a girl. There is nothing about that ideology that makes any sense at all. And that's actually the point. If people are being ripped apart by inner turmoil, and then spend their time fighting with each other about it, those people will never be a threat to the real status quo.
If you've never seen this spin off from the Netflix series Marco Polo, One Hundred Eyes tells the origin story of the blind Taoist priest. It is a true classic with all of the folklore we've come to love from Kung Fu flicks, riveting action sequences, and insights into Taoist philosophy and the practice of "Kung Fu". Plus it's only 30 minutes and in English (a major plus for me, lol). Have you seen it?
@Tiffany Joyner He's in the Marco Polo series quite a bit. That's Marco he's training in this clip. But he is so badass they came out with an origin story just for him. I don't rewatch things all that often because there is so much coming out all the time and just so much I've never seen, but I've watched this a few times.
