9/11 25 Years Later...
This is one of those days where you might remember exactly where you were. One of those days that shifts us into a different version of reality. The modern day that lives in infamy. Some people never know anything different but there is a time when it was. Decades of war later... So many lost but none forgotten. Extra surveillance and "security"... Is anything any safer? Has anything gotten better? Or has it gotten worse? A day to remember. A day to reflect. A day to keep it moving and keep on going. One Love. 🙏

@Rositsa Aleksandrova Yeah it's one of those things that gets stuck in a weird time zone. It definitely doesn't feel like 25 years ago. When we started getting Marines who weren't old enough to remember 9/11, it seemed impossible, lol.

1 Year Skool Birthday 🥳
I think it's my Skool Birthday today, lol. I thought Skool would tell me somewhere but I'm pretty sure it's today.😎

@Christiano Vibes Experience is all there really is.
Discovery... 🤔
Why is this Discovery thing in my way now?!

@Christiano Vibes I'm not sure how any of this looks if you're on the app, lol. I'm pretty much always on a browser, so I can't speak to that. But they just added a button in the same place as pinned communities and I don't like it one bit. I rarely go on Discovery, so it gives me no benefit, plus it's where the pin for my community used to be, so I'd accidentally click it 10 times a day for the first couple of days. I'm more used to it now but it's still in the way and is more for people who don't have communities since they are the ones more likely to be searching for one.
You Are The Author Of Your Story! ✍️
A lot of people get stuck in the past. We've all heard we need to be more present. Where does the future fit in? You are the author of your own story... What are you writing? Martial arts takes a similar approach. One is imagined. One is experienced. But where do imagination and experience meet? Crossover? And change places.☯️ Have you ever tried anything like this? WDYT? 🤷‍♂️

@Christiano Vibes Yeah. It seems that things like this have their own trap... you get stuck in the future instead of stuck in the past. You hear people reference athletes all the time. But a key distinction to make there is game time. If you have a certain deadline, then this seems to be a good strategy. But be careful not to put off until tomorrow what you can do today. Sometimes you have to do things to get the ball rolling and build momentum, but sometimes those things aren't doing anything besides holding you back and slowing you down.

@Christiano Vibes Well in the case of what she's talking about, it can happen that these exercises become "the thing" instead of a preparatory step. It's similar to making a plan. It can be great and helpful to an extent, but it can also become analysis paralysis. The idea that the map is not the land or the menu is not the meal. And then the map or land is not the actual journey and the menu and meal aren't eating. Instant gratification is its own problem... something never really comes for nothing and the idea that it does makes people quick to give up, which then leads to not achieving much of anything at all.

@Christiano Vibes Yeah that was the story in a lot of different U.S. states for awhile too. Now they have them all over but for the longest time they were always just in Vegas, lol. I think they said this was the 5th time they've been to France. It was a great event.

@Christiano Vibes Depends on how long I was there, lol. If I went to France, having never been, I'd probably opt for things that can only be done there unless it just happened to work out. 😎 It's closer for you so maybe it would work out well. There are some legit British dudes right now too. Although, the French fighter who won the main event looks like he might be a problem, so he may have big fights to come which would be huge as the hometown guy. Most guys don't make their UFC debut as a main event but most guys aren't KSW double champs either. The last one that came over also started with a main event but his was in the Apex, not his home country, and he won a 5 Round decision not a 1st Round KO.
