This framework might help you grow your network.

Example:

I wrote a blog post about how meaning wave by Akira the Don changed my life:

Akira saw it and retweeted it. Now it's my most viewed post.

I've also tried this without success, but it's always a win-win because you are perfecting your craft. You can only win:)
