For anyone who knows anything about the college recruiting process, you already know this truth: Your highlight film can make or break your recruitment. 🎥 Why? Because it’s a coach’s first impression of you. And first impressions matter—a lot. 🤔 In fact, most coaches decide whether they’re interested in 15–20 seconds. Not minutes. Not the whole video. Seconds. Without strong film, everything else you’re doing—emails, camps, social posts—loses value fast. 🚮 And here’s the crazy part… Even though we know this, most athletes don’t use all the resources available to learn how to actually build an elite highlight film. The athletes who do? They don’t just get recruited—they get paid in scholarships, tuition, room & board, and real opportunities. 💰 When you focus on the right recruiting steps, at the right time, the return on your effort can be 5x, 10x, even 20x based on the offers you earn. 🤑💸🏐 From an economics standpoint, it’s a no-brainer. It’s like buying Apple stock in 2005—easy to see in hindsight, painful if you ignored it because you “didn’t have time” or didn’t know how. Don’t let that be your volleyball recruiting journey. Be the athlete who starts now. 💪 🔑 The Top 2 Keys to an Effective Highlight Film 1️⃣ Put your BEST clips first (first 15–20 seconds). This is non-negotiable. Coaches decide FAST. If your best plays aren’t upfront, they may never see them. 2️⃣ Make it CRYSTAL CLEAR. No blurry footage. No weird angles. No guessing who you are or where the ball is. It’s 2025—we can do better. 📐 And athletes, this part is on you. It’s not your mom’s job to magically figure it out. Tell her where to stand, what to film, and what you need.
