Why I Quit Skool two years ago you should too... And why I'm back.
Two years ago, I quit hosting my own Skool group.
Not because it was bad.Not because the people weren’t good.
**I quit because it was a drain.**
Because of misalignment it was a distraction.
It wasn’t aligned with what I actually wanted to build.
And that distinction changed everything.
For years, I’ve said yes to way too many things I didn’t actually want to do.
good money making opportunities. strategic collaborations. Things that “made sense.”
But they weren’t aligned.
And when you say a I guess that is a good idea instead of yes! to too many things, you slowly drain the energy you need for the right things.
Recently, I’ve discovered the power of core desires.
Not surface-level goals.
Not “shoulds.”Not what looks impressive.
Core desires.
The deepest wants that won’t leave you alone. The white hot drive that pulls you toward it.
When you get clear on those, something powerful happens:
1) Harder boundaries better guidposts for what progress looks like
2) You stop negotiating with maybes and just say NO.
Here’s the distinction that changed my life:
If it’s not a full YES!…It’s a no.
Leaning toward no when something is a maybe has protected my energy, my time, and my focus.
That is one of the core messages of the Story Hook Method, and if you get nothing else...
Protect your YES!
