Y'all gotta try this
I was onboarding a client and noticed something weird.
Most agencies set up automations after a lead books.
I flipped it and built this before the call.
Here’s exactly what I did 👇
The “Pre-Call Authority Automation”
When a lead books a call:
They instantly get a short SMS: “Quick heads up before our call, I’ll review your online presence and pull 1 thing that’s costing you leads.”
6–12 hours later, they get an email with: • a Loom (2–3 minutes max)
• NOT a full audit
• Just ONE issue, clearly explained
• No pitch
Example: “I noticed your Google listing isn’t showing for [service] even though people are searching it weekly. I’ll explain why on the call.”
1 hour before the call, another SMS: “Looking forward to the call. I’ll show you exactly how to fix what I mentioned earlier.”
What changed immediately: • Show-up rate went way up
• Calls stopped feeling ‘cold’
• Prospects started the call already trusting me
• Objections dropped because I had already proven competence
The wild part? I didn’t sell harder. I just pre-sold credibility.
This isn’t a follow-up trick. It’s a perception shift before the call even happens.
I haven’t seen anyone talk about this setup, but once you use it, you can’t go back.
Curious: Do you currently do anything before the call…
or does the trust-building only start once you’re already on Zoom?
