Using Lovable to Create Professional Slide Decks in Minutes
As an official Lovable Ambassador, I spend a lot of time inside this platform — and one of the most underrated things you can build is an interactive slideshow.
Not a PowerPoint. Not a Canva deck. An actual, live, shareable web-based slideshow built from a prompt, deployed in minutes, with your own branding, transitions, and navigation.
Here's the full process I use:
Before you open Lovable, write out your slides in plain text first — slide number, headline, body copy, and any key visual element. This becomes the content you hand off, and it keeps your prompt clean.
Then start with the shell. Prompt Lovable to build the slideshow container with navigation and layout only — no content yet. Something like: "Build a full-screen slideshow component in React. It should have previous and next buttons, a slide counter in the bottom right, and a smooth fade transition between slides. Use a dark navy background with white text. Do not add any slide content yet — just the shell and navigation."
Once the shell looks right, feed in your slides two or three at a time. This prevents layout drift and keeps Lovable focused. Always tell it not to change the navigation or transitions when you're adding content.
After all your slides are in and verified, then style them. Change fonts, add color accents, adjust animations — but only after the content is locked. Styling on top of broken content is a waste of regenerations.
Last step: polish. Arrow key navigation, swipe support for mobile, and a progress bar across the top are all things Lovable can add in a single prompt once everything else is solid.
A few things to know before you build: Lovable defaults to React, so if you want a plain HTML version that's easier to embed anywhere, ask for it upfront. Use placeholder image URLs first and swap in your real images after the layout is set. And when you're done, publish with Lovable's built-in deploy and share the link directly — no exporting, no conversions, no headaches.
The bigger opportunity here is that a web-based slideshow is a product. You can gate it behind an opt-in, sell access, embed it in a course, or use it as a high-perceived-value lead magnet. Lovable builds it in a fraction of the time any other tool would take — and it lives on the internet, working for you while you sleep.
Are you building anything presentation-style in Lovable right now?
I'd love to see what you're working on!
