@Cate Evatt-Davey Cate 💛 That actually says a lot. I think when people all take something different from the same experience, it usually means you’ve created something genuinely thoughtful rather than overly rigid or scripted.

@Stephanie Davis Stephanie, that “bulldozer” description made me smile because I think so many of us know exactly what that feels like 😅And yes… sometimes the harder we push, the bumpier the ride becomes. There’s definitely something to be said for flow and allowing things to unfold a bit more naturally.
A win, a wobble, and a question for you all…
We're open! 🎉 After moving the deadline a few times, the Machine Knitting Hub is officially live on Skool — and it genuinely feels like a win. I'm building it live and I already have members joining, plus a few more to add from my landing page. Exciting times! But then… my first member request arrived with a red flag. High possibility of being a spammer. 🚩 It got me thinking — how do you tell the bots and potential scammers from genuine requests? Have you let high-risk ones in, and if so, what happened? Sorry @Brenda Rigney — I started with a win and hijacked it into a question! 😄

@Jan Appleton Jan, I think that’s the tricky part now because AI can sound incredibly genuine sometimes. I still tend to go with my gut feeling first 😊 If something feels “mostly okay” I’ll usually let them in, but quietly keep an eye on how they interact in the group afterwards. Usually the energy becomes clear fairly quickly.

@Stephanie Davis absolutely Stephanie, and its very easily felt , even online.
What Makes a Day on Skool Exciting?
Are there things that happen for you that make a day more exciting that others? I'm curious to hear what you all find energizing about building on Skool.

@Catherine Robinson Catherine 😊 That’s what I loved about it too — not another thing to “do”, just a small moment to pause and breathe a bit.

@Catherine Robinson Catherine 😊 It really does. There’s something lovely about seeing people genuinely enjoy and connect with something so simple.
Adding keywords in Skool name
I'm trying to set up my Skool community but am trying to decide on the name. In one of the posts @Brenda Rigney suggests searching for keywords and using one of them in the name of the Skool community. My question is: Do search for that within the Skool ecosystem or is it just the SEO search in the wider internet ecosystem? Is there a resource somewhere here in this community that will help answer this? Or does someone have a very simple easy answer. Maybe I'm overcomplicating this 🤦‍♀️

I don’t think there’s one perfect way to name a group 😊 When I moved from my Facebook group “NOW – Network of Women” onto Skool, I wanted the name to feel like a continuation of that journey, so “NOW Rise” came to me because it felt like the group had crossed a bridge and grown into something new. Maybe start with the feeling or topic behind your community and just brainstorm 10–20 names that come to mind. Then leave them for a bit and come back later to see which ones still feel right to you.

@Deepthi Rasi Deepthi 😊 Yes, exactly. Sometimes the right name isn’t something you “figure out” straight away — it’s more like letting ideas come to you and noticing which one keeps feeling right when you come back to it later.

@Miri Campbell Miri, sometimes deciding what to offer is the hardest part 😊I’d go with something that feels genuinely useful and enjoyable for you to create and talk about too.

@Gillian Binet Gillian 😊 Thank you. I think people often overcomplicate things a bit online sometimes, but warmth and feeling matter too.
