🌍 SHE IS AI Uganda - Board Announcement

Today, we’re proud to share an important milestone with our community.

We have officially formed the SHE IS AI Uganda Board of Directors; a world-class governance body guiding ethical, community-led AI education and digital empowerment across Uganda.

This is more than an announcement. It’s a commitment.

A commitment that AI education in Uganda will be built ethically, locally, and with integrity — guided by leaders who understand the cultural, social, economic, and human realities of the communities they serve.

The Uganda Board brings together nine deeply respected leaders across education, gender equality, global health, AI ethics, governance, policy, and community development.

Their role is to ensure that every decision, programme, partnership, and investment remains aligned with the principles that define ethical AI: dignity • safety • cultural intelligence • transparency • equity

This Board ensures our work from community learning hubs to national Train-the-Trainer programmes; is not imported, imposed, or disconnected from context, but instead:
