🎬 Recommendation: War Dogs Movie
If you're interested in government contracting, one movie I recommend watching is War Dogs. My mentor recommended we watch this when we first started.
While it's a Hollywood movie and certain events are dramatized, it offers an interesting look at the world of government contracting, opportunity identification, supplier relationships, and thinking outside the box.
As you watch, don't focus on copying the characters or every decision they make. Instead, ask yourself:
- How did they find opportunities?
- How did they build supplier relationships?
- How did they think creatively?
- What mistakes did they make?
- What would you have done differently?
One of the biggest lessons is that successful government contractors often learn how to connect opportunities with qualified suppliers and partners.
Knowledge is power—but integrity, compliance, and building trusted relationships are what create long-term success.
