This morning, we were on a conference call discussing one of our contracts when one of our subcontractors shared something that really caught my attention. One of his colleagues recently secured a contract to provide 500 vans to a large organization. 🤯 It was a great reminder that while we spend a lot of time talking about government contracting, large corporations purchase products and services every day, too. Companies like Apple, Amazon, Walmart, Kaiser Permanente, Disney, and many others have procurement teams and supplier programs that work with small businesses. 💡 Don't limit your business development to one customer. The government is one customer. Large corporations are another. Healthcare systems are another. School districts, universities, counties, cities, and nonprofits all purchase products and services. The lesson? Diversify your customer base. Take some time this week to research the companies you'd love to work with. Visit their supplier or procurement pages, learn about their vendor registration process, and see how your business might fit their needs. The opportunities are often much bigger than we imagine. 💬 Question for the community: If you could win a contract with one company, who would it be and why?
