I'm looking for any advice or anyone's opinion on my current push workout. I feel that slowly but surely i'm getting closer and closer to the straddle planche, but i'm not there yet. Would love to hear your opionions, or what helped you move forward.
(I'm 172 cm tall, 77 kg btw)
I have 3 push workouts/week, 2 bigger (skill+strengthening), and one smaller (just skill focused).
The big ones:
- straddle planche press negatives with band (3-4 sets, 1 rep, 3min. rest)
- straddle planche hold with band (10 set, 1-3sec holds, 2-3min. rest) ~ in the last 2-3 sets, i do adv. tuck cuz straddle would be too hard there yet. Also my form isn't the best yet, but it's getting better
- chest to wall HSPU (5 set, 4-6rep, 3 min. rest)
- psuedou push up (3 set, 6-8 rep, 2 min. rest)
- planche leans (10 min-10set ~ 20sec hold, 40 sec rest)
- dips with pause at the bottom (5 set, 1-4. set: almost max reps - 5. set: max reps, 1 min. rest) ~ right now somewhere between 50-60 reps total
The small one:
Ususally a few sets of adv. tuck (no band) holds, some dynamic planche leans and something else, like psuedo push ups or lean holds. This one is just to get some more volume in during the week
