🔥 Part 4: Get People to Say YES - Take It OFF Their Plate
Third thing every influencer wants...
They want you to take something OFF their plate.
Not put more ON it.
This is the #1 killer of good deals.
Even deals that have already been agreed to.
Here's what happens...
Influencer says yes to promoting your stuff.
You get excited.
Then you start adding work to their list.
"Can you write the email?"
"What's your audience like?"
"When do you think you'll send it?"
Deal dies.
Every single time.
Here's why this is so deadly...
Influencers are already maxed out.
Their plate is overflowing.
They said yes because they thought you'd handle everything.
The moment you start asking them to do heavy thinking...
They're out.
This is why we say no to to a lot of partnership requests.
They come to wanting US to do the heavy lifting.
Figure out the angles.
Write the copy.
Handle the details.
They're adding stuff to our plate, not taking stuff off.
Hard pass.
But here's how Travis approaches it...
He shows up with everything done.
Copy written.
Angles figured out.
Salespeople ready to go.
All they have to do is hit send. (sometimes we even do that)
"Here's the email. Here's the social post. Here's why your audience will love it. Just copy, paste, and send."
That's taking it OFF their plate.
Most people do the opposite.
They pitch the idea and expect the influencer to figure out the execution.
"I've got this great product you should promote. What do you think?"
What do I think?
I think you want me to do your job for you.
Here's what actually works...
Show up with the complete package.
Subject lines written.
Email copy done.
Social posts ready to go.
Make it so easy they'd be stupid to say no.
Think about it from their perspective...
Option A: Some guy wants them to promote his thing. Needs them to figure out how to pitch it to their audience. Wants meetings to "strategize."
Option B: Someone shows up with everything done. Just needs them to copy and paste.
Which one are you choosing?
Option B every single time.
That's the difference between pros and amateurs.
Amateurs ask influencers to do the work.
Pros do the work FOR the influencers.

P.S. This stuff is exactly what Travis teaches in Ronin at https://becomearonin.com/ - how to structure these partnerships so they actually work. Most people mess this up and wonder why their deals fall through.
