Early on in Ronin I would shout from the rooftops, "RESPECT THE COIN!!"
Never has it been more true.
Just ran a campaign that we THOUGHT would do over half a millie with a $444 membership.
But it didn't.
Lots of reasons I won't go into here.
Bottom line is it's still considered a fail.
BUT...two things still stand out.
Even though it shit the bed and did $108,373 in sales in 13 days? ($60,863 of that was cash in the door)
I still walked away with $24,341 and 9 more months of $2112 in MRR.
Most folks would say, "Tony T you sound like an ungrateful bastard!..."
Not at all lol.
I'm always grateful for whatever comes my way.
But I flipped the coin and I lost...
That's 13 days of time and energy that I can't get back.
But by respecting the coin?
I still am grateful for the $24,341 that I'm going home with and $2112 that comes in over the next 9 months (another $19,008 in total!)
Now...
The real WIN from this?
Because I could tell this campaign was sucking wind...
We pulled the trigger on a NEW offer to just the buyers list.
I had figured out with this lower tiered offer (and his previous offer I did $365k with) that his audience was craving ACCESS.
So we offered a more "intimate" offer with fewer people (and less work on his part) at a much higher sales price.
And wholla!
In 3 days we're already over $100k in sales and about $70k of that is cash in the door.
So one loss gave birth to another WIN.
Now...
All this talk of win/loss is tongue & cheek mind you.
I'm actually just playing a BIGGER more fun game.
The game is how much return can I get for a thimble full of energy.
NOT saying I've got this game mastered by no means?
But damn if it isn't fun.
Cause even when I'm "losing" I still feel like I'm winning:-)
In your corner,
~ Tony
