Activation routines
I’m in the middle of a sprint block while doing a reverse periodization in prep for a big season but most events happen in fall. I’ve never done activation exercises prior to my hard rides, but thought I’d give it a shot (it works). Below is the link to the Roadman Podcast discussing activation exercises by and this is probably posted some where, but I thought I’d post the exercises:
  1. Glute Bridges
  2. Monster walks aka lateral band walks
  3. Low lunge with a twist AKA “worlds greatest stretch”
  4. Subpene Heal Tap DeadBug variation
  5. Leg Swings
In the video you will get a demonstration of how to do the exercise.
