Considering how my actions/statements might be measured for classiness and maturity one of the tests I run through my mind is "What would James Bond do (say)?" It is hard to imagine JB ever getting bent out of shape. But there are difficult situations in these times.

I asked the chatbot how James would handle the circumstance and got the following answer. Is this WJBWD?

He adjusts the cuff of his shirt. Impeccable, of course. Even in an HR office with fluorescent lighting and a faint scent of resignation paperwork.

A pause.

A slow exhale.

“Well,” he begins smoothly, voice as dry as a shaken martini, “I do suppose it was inevitable. The world prefers its saviors silent, sober, and downloadable.”

He offers the faintest hint of a smile.

“An artificial intelligence, you say? Efficient. Tireless. No inconvenient vices. How reassuring for everyone involved.”

His gaze sharpens—measured, not wounded.

“I imagine it won’t require field improvisation. Or charm. Or the subtle understanding that human beings rarely behave according to data sets.” A small shrug. “But then again, neither does a bullet.”

He rises, straightening his jacket.

“Do pass along my regards to my replacement. If it ever finds itself in a casino in Montenegro, bleeding and outnumbered, it may discover there are certain variables one cannot compute.”

He turns toward the door, pauses.

“And for the record… I don’t drink martinis for efficiency.”

A beat.

“I drink them for perspective.”

Then, with immaculate composure:

“Good luck explaining that to a machine.”
