The tailor and I…

Last week I wrote about seeking out another tailor to add to the mix as my current tailor was overly taxed. Embarrassingly, it ended up being the same tailor but working a sir hustle.

I get a text that my tailoring was ready. The first of three batches was due to land tomorrow, so a day early when my schedule allowed for it was helpful. However, he finished all three orders, including 2 blazers, 2 two-piece suits, 3 odd trousers, and pair of corduroys, and an odd vest. Given that I brought more stuff for him, I was there trying things on for 90 minutes. It was great to get so much at once and the only piece I asked them to do again - a camel hair blazer - was for an aspect we didn’t discuss (length was a good 1.5” too long).

So, in some way I guess the message was received. Whatever it was, I am a happy sartorialist tonight!
