Taking Stock on this Tuesday!
Today is an office day with a midday stop at the tailor.
As the seasons are about to change, I started looking at my "Winter Weight" trousers as well as some others in my all season rotation.
Thankfully, A few of my trousers need to be taken in, which is a problem I am very grateful to have after losing more weight. 🙏
But it also got me thinking about something pretty simple. Clothes are meant to be worn.
If something no longer fits properly, does not look right, or I just never seem to reach for it, then it probably deserves some attention. Sometimes that means tailoring. Sometimes it means giving something another chance. And sometimes it means admitting that a piece simply is not earning its place in the closet anymore.
I try to take stock every so often and make sure the things I own are actually being used and enjoyed.
Because having a closet full of clothes that do not fit well or never get worn is not helping anyone.
For me, intentionality applies here too. Take care of what you own. Make sure it fits. Wear it. Enjoy it.
And if you do not like how something looks or feels, figure out why—and do something about it.
I am thankful for the reason these trousers need adjusting, and also thankful to have a good tailor who can help keep everything working the way it should.
Hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday!! 😎
