Solid or pinstripe?

Hello gentlemen. I am finally starting my research on buying my first proper suit since I need to be prepared for my graduation at the end of this year. I have navy blazers and navy chinos but even worn together, they're not a suit. So I went on Charles Tyrwhitt and found 2 styles that I like. The solid navy and the navy with very thin stripes. I am a big fan of stripes (especially Craig's suit at the end of Casino Royale). Which do you reckon would be better for a first suit? Keep in mind I don't wear suits everyday and I could do something more interesting at my graduation. Thanks!
