Road Trip to Minneapolis
Taking my oldest daughter (4) to Mayo for an eye surgery consultation. Apparently they are the closest around us that will do a pediatric eye surgery, but it's still a 5 hour drive from home. I don't want to make this heavy or dramatic, and I'm by no means seeking sympathy, but I would to ask to our praying men to send one up for my daughter. And her daddy. I'm really struggling with feelings of cynicism about the institution after a preliminary phone call, as well as worrying about the financial aspects that will follow. I'm self employed and don't have health benefits, and I have a moral obligation against health insurance.
For the trip I am wearing a cotton poplin shirt, my self made bolo tie, olive chinos, custom belt buckle, and python boots. And my hat, of course. Thank you brothers 🙏
