June 10 Cote Method
Today I’m thinking of and followed his method using a tie I bought inspired by him. So my outfit is in shades of brown and blue today. I wore my Rancco sports coat with a sea island cotton shirt in light blue from Proper Cloth. The pocket square is mostly muted blue. The trousers, linen from Spier and MacKay, are in oatmeal, and different enough from the jacket to give a bit of contrast even though the whole look is relatively low contrast. Finally, the socks incorporate both tan and blue stripes to harmonize with the tie. I’ll add my brown suede derbies from JFitzpatrick and my brown fedora when I go out.
