Although I am a financial advisor-my make-up isn’t the same as the three accountants whom I am headed out to see. I am both thankful for their expertise and grateful that I am not one. Especially this time of year. Their sense of details are remarkable to me. Nevertheless I like to go the extra mile and drop by and see my clients tax preparers when they are near. Today’s CTM outfit seemed appropriate to me. While I am in the “details matter mindset” I thought I would point out a few (knowing full well there are a few I missed like a suit collar lapel and pocket flap press.)
First a classic color of suit (all the same fabric coat and trouser ). Second a 1/4 to 1/2” shirt sleeve cuff showing. Third a tie width that is commensurate to the lapel width. Fourth a tie length at the halfway point of the belt buckle. Fifth a knot that fits the collar size and type (Prince Albert). Sixth a sock color in the tone of the pant. Seventh a black shoe and black belt. Eighth silver watch and silverwedding ring. Ninth a broader more formal stripe tie with the tattersall shirt. And finally Tenth, an operable coat button that is within an inch of the trouser waist line with the deep forward pleated custom rise pants.
I AM ABSOLUTELY NOT SAYING THIS IS THE ONLY NOR “CORRECT” WAY TO DO IT. I am saying that I put this together with intention to fit and choice of combo. (Well …..maybe number 10 is the “correct” way😎😉😏 no 🐒 🪗)
•1995 MTM blue herringbone suit
•Reversible cotton pocket square (barely can see the tattersall side whilst the grey seersucker shows)
•CT Tattersall spread collar shirt
•XMI non regimental rep tie in raspberry
• Pantherella socks
• J Fitzpatrick captoes
• Seiko Model 5 Automatic
