Cotton or Linen Trousers and ironing

So, I am in a bit of a conundrum here.

Actually there are two topics here. First of all, at Pini Parma, they have two pants, the Soragna cut, which I Love. One of them is in linen, the other in Cotton. Now I am lost in deciding which one to get.

Which one would you go for?

And on a slightly different topic. Are there any tips on ironing pleats? I have no issue ironing a crease into my trousers, but with actual pleats, it seems nigh Impossible to get it right.
