Life is complex, humans are complex, and it’s never been easier to find distractions. Careers, family, travel, other hobbies can all overlap with the time we dedicate to ourselves and our health. For most people there’s a moment (often a health scare) where one’s mortality and lifestyle get questioned, and changes have to be made.
This is the point where I’ll meet most clients. It might seem to some that their health is too far gone, and they step outside the comfort zone and ask for help. It is that point in their life when they are most ready to change, regardless of their past. When someone is looking and asking for help, they’re ready, no matter what weight, age, nationality, ethnic background, or fitness level.
Whether you’re just starting out, having a difficult week, skipping workouts, missing meal preps, it’s still not too late to get back on track. Small changes make the biggest difference. And it is never too late to make a change, ESPECIALLY if you’re on the older side! Quality of life, bone health, muscle mass, tendon health, ligament health, joint health, all see VAST improvements with fairly minimal training.
Glaciers melt slowly everyday, so slow you feel they aren’t moving at all… but over time they carve out the rivers, mountains, and landscapes that make up the world around you. Slowly, consistently, and when no one is looking.
