Success Is What You Don't Do. Let That Sink In...
I was reading this article by Dr. Benjamin Hardy and he says: "Leadership is primarily about what you DON'T do. Steve Jobs said, "Innovation is saying no to 1,000 things." Warren Buffett said, "The difference between successful people and really successful people is that really successful people say no to almost everything." The same is true of organizations. The most successful organizations understand that strategy is primarily about what the organization DOESN'T do. Strategy requires leaving the wrong money on the table, knowing such "opportunities" will cost you 10x compared to going deep." Let that sink in for a moment - what are you doing that's costing you time, money and effort and you're not realizing it? It's hard to kill our darlings even when they are killing us.
