Time for a shake up
Are you all open to going back to book learning? While I love Ben’s stuff, it gets stale. Or maybe it’s just me. If it’s a “YES,” I’d like to suggest a book that I’ve enjoyed: Beyond Belief: The Science-Backed Way to Stop Limiting Yourself and Achieve Breakthrough Results (released March 10, 2026) by Nir Eyal, with Julie Li, explores how hidden, self-limiting beliefs dictate our actions and offers science-backed methods to replace them. It introduces the "Three Powers of Belief"—Attention, Anticipation, and Agency—to help readers reshape their mental models for improved health, relationships, and career success. If “Yes,” but a different book, provide your suggestion in the comments.

I actually love using a book as a guide for our calls. In the past, I used to read 2 new books every month. But I’ve shifted away from that and started rereading the same book over and over, really focusing on understanding and implementation. These aren’t books you just read once, you study, apply, and revisit them. With Ben’s work, I honestly feel like I’m only scratching the surface. And if I’m being real, despite all my effort, I haven’t achieved my “impossible goal” and even feel I'm further away from it than ever before. Looking around in this incredible group, I don’t think any of us have… yet. So maybe the question isn’t whether the material is getting stale, but whether we’re going deep enough. I’d actually love to hear everyone’s impossible goal. Maybe we can use this space not just to consume ideas, but to reflect, challenge each other, and stay in the game long enough to make those goals inevitable.
3pm Check-in Today: No call Friday (Good Friday)
A few want to see how I set up my Claude Projects. I have found using both Claude and Chat are complimentary. @Jon Hord @Rosemary Kimani @Kavan Balasuriya

@Rosemary Kimani I am still going through the learning curve. I came accross a good YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@ai-foundations which guided me on how to setup Claude so it knows the important things about me and how I want it to behave.

One Thing
What’s the most important thing this week that you need to do? Let’s talk outcomes. We’ve been discussing process for months. What’s “A” result this week.

@Michael Clegg I had the conversation with our CEO about equity and it didn't go so well. So I have something to reflect and decide on in the coming days...

@Michael Clegg thank you Clegg. The good thing is that it gave me clarity on what I need to do next. And it awakened the terrier in me :-)
Biggest Challenge this week?
Name one big challenge this week that, if solved, releases the outcomes! Antifragile teams tighten the loop between decisions and consequences. They make accountability real, not performative. Making “done” binary is an example of being performative. Vague goals create performative effort. Bad: “Work on website.” Good: “Publish the new homepage by Thursday, 5 pm, and send it to 10 people for feedback.” Journal prompts ( I will reshare tomorrow ) - Where do we tolerate decisions without ownership? - Where do I personally avoid downside, and what does it cost the team? - What rule would instantly improve decision quality if we enforced it? - What commitment am I willing to be publicly held to?

@Rosemary Kimani good luck Rosemary!
Getting back to our roots
This Friday’s call is going to be about dreaming a little more. Imagining what’s possible. Reminding ourselves about what’s the outcome we want. Bring your ambitions. Raise the Floor. I hope you all can make it.
