$200 API credit with Enterprise Grade voice-text
Just had a good reality check after our voice-to-text chat.
Went back through my configs and realized I wasn’t running hyprwhspr with a local model like I thought.
Instead, I’ve been daily-driving hyprvoice connected to Deepgram Enterprise using the nova-2 model.
And honestly? It’s been stupidly good.
Golden Nuggets:
  • Deepgram gives new devs $200 in free credits right when you sign up — no credit card needed. That’s a solid runway to test properly.
  • nova-2 is proper enterprise-grade stuff. Fast, accurate, and part of a full voice AI suite (STT, TTS, agents, the works).
  • hyprvoice on Hyprland is clean: one key toggle, speak naturally, text drops straight into whatever app you’re in. Works ridiculously well with Deepgram. (You don't need linux, tip works with all platforms)
  • Extra benefit: It lets me explore a real enterprise-grade platform now, so I’m already familiar with it if clients ever need it in the future.
If you’re on Hyprland/Wayland and want reliable voice dictation without babysitting local models every day, this combo is worth checking.Links:
Still planning to play with fully local setups later, but for real daily use right now? Deepgram + hyprvoice is carrying hard.
