Hey everyone,
I’m facing a challenge, and I’d love to get your advice on it. I recently built a sales funnel for a client where leads book a call via Calendly. After the call, the client sells his course to interested leads, but the whole process is done manually through WhatsApp. I get a commission based on the revenue generated through my funnel.
The problem: I’m concerned that the client may not be honest about how many courses he’s actually selling. Since everything happens outside the funnel (payments are handled manually), it’s easy for him to hide a sale or claim that no sales were made when they actually were. There's no automated system that tracks how much revenue my funnel is truly generating.
What I’ve considered so far:
Using Stripe or PayPal for transparent payments, but he could still process payments through other methods that I wouldn’t know about.
Convince him to use an automated platform such as skool where he can sell his course on
Base my earnings on booked meetings instead of income
What I need advice on: Have any of you dealt with similar situations? How can I ensure I’m not cheated in commission deals where payments happen outside of my view? What are your best tips to add transparency and protect myself? I don’t want to come across as distrustful, but I also don’t want to be naive.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance 🙏
