So I’m getting married March 2nd 2025! 🙌
As many of you who are married know, weddings aren’t cheap.
Kelsey and I decided to get married at Xcaret in Playa De Carmen and only knew about this resort because it’s where Russell hosted his Mastermind in Paradise a few years back.
Anyway, we couldn’t be more excited about it, especially now that it’s paid for 🤣
So, how did this happen?
I want to share my play-by-play strategy that landed me #1 on the leaderboard for promoting Russell’s Selling Online Event this week and brought in enough Affiliate Commissions to cover the cost of our wedding!!
I just got done wrapping up a two week promotional campaign to invite my audience to join Russell's Selling Online event this week and I want to share my biggest takeaways with you.
By the way, my audience isn’t massive… I have like 4,000 Instagram followers 1,800 members in my community, and an emails list of 7,000 active emails.
Now, this isn't my first time promoting Russell's events but even with promoting my own offers, I notice the SAME thing across the board when it comes to promoting anything!
Two weeks ago I drafted daily posts for Facebook and my Skool community. These posts brought in steady sign ups over the two weeks.
(See the image below).
However, there are three spikes in sales that I want to point out and this is where most people miss the mark when promoting their offers.
The first two spikes were the days I hosted a one-to-many sales presentation on Zoom.
I hosted one last week and one this week, using the methods Russell taught in his Selling Online event last month.
Both of these trainings converted 30% of the attendees into sales for his event starting tomorrow.
This is so much easier than doing posts, outreach, and the slow way, but I recommend doing all of it.
And the final spike came today, and the day still isn’t over so I am expecting that to double by tomorrow morning.
This is where most people go wrong and give up on the most important part of the promotional campaign.
The FOLLOW UP!
Everyone who engaged with my posts over the last two weeks received a message from me today giving them one final reminder that today is the last day to join Russell’s event to get my bonuses.
No posts, just two last call emails and a bunch of follow up messages as a last call reminder.
The crazy part is, I know I could have done more but I’m really happy with these results.
Whether you plan to promote this event next month, another offer, or your own offer… two weeks of solid promotion can create amazing results for you…
IF you are willing to do the work. And to be honest, this isn’t even hard work, most of you have done far harder things to earn a living.
All we’re doing is sharing our excitement for something we know people are going to love and get a lot of value from.
Action Steps for your next promotion:
- Create two weeks minimum of posts, emails, content, reels, stories, and anything to get people’s attention.
2. Post and email daily. I know I will still get messages from people who say “Hey Doug, I didn’t see you were doing this, I’m sorry I missed it.” And yes, I AM SORRY they missed it because it means I didn’t do my job on sharing something that will help them in their businesses more than anything else they’re trying right now.
**So know this, no matter how much you promote, most people still won’t see it, get louder!**
3. Posting by itself won’t make sales. You must engage and comment on people’s comments. Start conversations with them and track everything.
4. Create a training you know your audience needs and invite them to watch on Zoom. These are basically a second promo going on in addition to your current methods. I promote each training 1-2 days before to fill the room. I make the offer at the end and then promote the replay with urgency.
5. Reach out to everyone who was on the training who didn’t buy and personally invite them to your offer.
6. Repeat this same process for week 2.
7. Double up your emails for a last call push. Message everyone who still hasn’t bought one final time (I think I sent out 300+ messages today to give everyone who said they were interested one last invitation to get their ticket.
The crazy part, most of them will still wait until tomorrow morning when I send my final email.
A lot of work? I guess it depends what you call work but it would have taken me 1 year waiting tables full time 7 days a week to earn what I just earned in 2 weeks doing what I love doing.
So if you made a post and no one bought your offer… I challenge you to go all in on your next promotion!
It can change your life, but only if you put in the effort 🚀
Lastly and most importantly, thank you to anyone who is here because of signing up with my affiliate link, thank you for the trust. I know you’re going to love this event and the cool things we’re doing to help you get results with it 🙏🙏🙏
