I asked an AI to take over my browser and deploy a live web page for me.
Not "help me figure out the steps." Not "write me the code." I mean.. take over. Eyes. Hands. Do the thing.
Here's what happened.
I was building out affiliate swipes and promo assets for an upcoming launch. HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Needed it hosted somewhere. Wanted it on my existing domain.. the one my ClickFunnels account sits on.. but without touching ClickFunnels for this.
I had a hunch. My domain runs through Cloudflare. Cloudflare has a free Pages hosting service. There's probably a way to do a rewrite or a worker redirect to make it just.. work. The page was a leaf.. completely static, no outbound CTAs, goes nowhere. Perfect candidate.
So instead of going to figure it out myself, I just asked Codex. "I'm logged into Cloudflare. Can you take over my browser and do this for me?"
It said sure.
It created a Worker. Uploaded the static assets. Set up the subdomain. Wired the page. All of it. In my authenticated session. It knew which pages to navigate to. It knew where the settings lived. It uploaded my files.
I watched it happen.
Now here's the thing most people are going to miss about this moment.
The obvious takeaway is "wow, it saved James some time." That's not what I'm excited about.
What I'm excited about is the people who would've called me.
There are people in my circle who hit a wall like this and pick up the phone. And half the time I didn't even know the answer off the top of my head — I'd have to go figure it out, then walk them through it. That whole chain.. it's gone now.
Because the LLM already knows everything I'd have to go research. And now it has eyes and hands to go do it in the UI.
That's not a productivity bump. That's a category shift.
