Unpopular opinion:
Most people donāt fail to start a podcast because of strategy.
They fail because of comfort.
I hear this almost every week:
āNilesh, I want to start a podcast.ā
But when itās time to actually start recordingā¦
Suddenly they say:
⢠Iām still planning the format
⢠I need better equipment
⢠My brand is not clear yet
⢠Iāll launch in a few months
And months turn into years.
Hereās the truth:
Perfection is just procrastination in disguise.
When I started my podcast in June 2021, nothing was perfect.
- No big audience.
- No fancy studio.
- No viral strategy.
Just a decision to start.
Fast forward today:
⢠170+ episodes
⢠conversations with incredible entrepreneurs
⢠relationships and opportunities I could never have planned
- None of this came from waiting.
- It came from publishing the first imperfect episode.
Most people think podcast success comes from the perfect launch.
In reality, it comes from:
Episode 1
Episode 10
Episode 50
Episode 100
- Consistency builds clarity.
- Not the other way around.
So if youāve been saying āI want to start a podcastā for monthsā¦
Let me ask you something:
Whatās actually stopping you?
Drop it in the comments.
Iām curious. š
