Here is some great tips for preparing for High Level Clients! First of all you need a framework of what you are going over with your client that you can follow and stay on track! I go over this in more detail in my first post above! Here is a screen shot I got from my Coach, Kirk Duncan: It is the one with the Green Star in the middle, below! He taught me these cool tips for preparing myself for High Level Clients.
PRE-Appointment Checklist:
- Stretch - Do this to release stuck energy. Energy = Emotions. If you have stuck emotions you can unknowingly trigger those emotions in your client!
- Brush- Neck, arms, hands, torso, legs, feet. When you stretch it will release the stuck energy/emotions and you need to brush them off. It is a great way to dispel any negative emotions you may not have realized you were hanging on to!
- Ground - stand up and feel your feet on the ground, focus your energy inwards and clear your mind. Feel for energy coming in through your feet. It should help you feel solid, sure, calm, and confident.
- STOP thinking about anything else BUT THEM. Focus all your thoughts, feelings, and emotions around your client, their needs and seeking inspiration that could help them.
- View Picture - If you have a picture of them look at it! Tune your mind into them and Focus on them and what they need from you that day.
- Review Notes from last session
- Review communication since last session
- List what to follow up on during this session
- Set benchmark to reach by END of Session
- BE EARLY - 10 minutes - 5 minutes- even 30 seconds early. Be Early.
When you take your time to rid yourself of your negative emotions, ground yourself, and turn all your focus on the client, it is amazing the inspiration that comes to you. You can really tap into the other person's spirit. It is an amazing experience!
You're not done though!!! There are steps to take AFTER your appointment with them as well, and these are just as vital as the Pre-appointment checklist. It needs to be within 15 minutes or sooner! This will give you the most accurate picture of how you are doing!
POST- Appointment Review - within 15 minutes
- Where did I hold back? Why?
- Where did I cross the line? Why?
- Overall, what worked?
- Overall, what didn't work?
- What to adjust for next time?
- Notes... Clean up and organize them (I do hope you're taking notes during your coaching calls!)
- Pictures of diagrams
- Save recording and notes of the meeting (preferably under that Client's own file folder)
If you take the time to Review and ask yourself these questions, you will be preparing yourself to be an even better, more effective coach in the future! Also, whether they know it or not, energetically, your client will feel more cared for when you take these extra steps to prepare for them and to follow up with these questions afterwards. They will know they have an amazing coach on their team, because they will truly FEEL your dedication and care towards their success.
