Did you know that Words are powerful?
There was a study done and a book written about it by a man named Masaru Emoto. This book is called, "The Hidden Messages In Water" and in this book Emoto teaches us the effects that words have on water.
In this book there is a really cool experiment that you can try at home if you want to see the power of words.
What you do is cook a big pot of rice (rice is cooked with water and water is affected by the energy of words) and then put the rice into 2 glass jars with a lid. On one jar put the word LOVE on it and on the other put the word HATE on it. Then find a dark cool place to put your jars and leave them there for a couple weeks. Come back to your jars and you will find that the jar with the word HATE on it is full of moldy rotten rice, and the jar with the word LOVE on it will look way better, almost normal!
It is a fascinating experiment that has been tried over and over again. In fact, it has even been tried where the word wasn't written on the jar, but only THOUGHT toward the jar, and it had the same effect. Can you BELIEVE THAT????
Even our very thoughts have that kind of power! But that is for another post....
Back to words (written and/or spoken out loud)....
I really love how Myron Golden teaches about the power of words. He uses the Bible a lot in his teaching, and this is where I learned about the powerful name that God uses... I AM
I never understood why God calls himself I AM. It didn't make sense to me, until Myron came along and explained in the beginning of Genesis it says, "And God said, Let there be Light: and there was Light."
God's power is in his WORD, he uses words to create! And when He says "I AM," he is teaching us the pattern, the words to use, when we want to create for ourselves. We get to decide what/who we identify as.
We ARE who we say we are. We get to choose who we will be, by the WORDS we tell ourselves.
So for your first assignment, you need to write out a list of 7 words that you WANT to identify as.
i.e.
powerful
fun
smart
loving
determined
teachable
tenacious
silly
go getter
undaunted
etc.
Come up with a list and then form those words into a DECLARATION that you can read to yourself daily. As you say these words in an I AM statement, you will be training your mind to feel, and believe those words. As your subconscious mind starts to hear those words, it will start to look for evidence that they are true, and look for opportunities to LIVE by those words.
Another thing you can do is, in one column write down 5 NEGATIVE words that you believe about yourself and in the next column write down the opposite POSITIVE word. Rip the page in half, tear up the negative words and start saying the positive words to yourself daily in an I AM statement.
