"You, the substratum of the universe, that never changes, gets to experience the joy of growth" - Jaia Toora ❤️
The legendary black bee
For the Pranayama aficionados out there, here's a 5 video about the black bee, Xylocopa, aka the Carpenter Bee. I've only come across this type of bee in rural Portugal. They are large for a flying insect and can sometimes frighten people with their sound, size and general presence. I'm not sure exactly, exactly, the bee the Yogis who discovered Brahmari Pranayama were referring to; but it must be one of the family Xylocopa. The sound they make is like the sound you make whilst performing Brahmari Pranayama. Brahmari Pranayama is a gift for anyone who is looking for a way to control their nerves (as it can be so calming) up until those who wish to increase their psychic perception and cross into the esoteric universe of Yoga. It is the exploration into the fundamental building blocks of your existence in the universe; sound, your senses and the witnessing consciousness. It is very easy and pleasurable to perform, not necessarily requiring any warm up or special dietary restrictions. ❤️

The four varna (castes) are perceived to be located in the nature of the individual, i.e. Brahmana in sadacara (righteous conduct), Ksatriya in saurya (valor and courage), Vaisya in vyavasaya (business), and Sudra in seva (service). A yogin experiences all men and women of all races and castes within himself. Therefore he has no hatred for anybody. He has love for every being. — Gorakhnath, Siddha Siddhanta Paddhati III.6-8 (Translator: D Shastri)

Beautiful song with meaning and lyrics (Yoga Kareoke😄)
https://open.spotify.com/track/5zMXuQLFhWkpXUUPtm6wuH?si=77f9c13a7d0247c5 The singer (Heer, metaphorically) is calling out for her beloved (Ranjha, who is often a metaphor for God or a spiritual guide). The Vanjhali (Flute): The title refers to the flute played by Ranjha. In the story, his flute playing is mesmerizing and a symbol of his love and connection to the divine. The sound of the flute in the song evokes the pain of separation and the longing to be reunited with the beloved. Lyrics: Main vich tere, main vich tere I am in you, you are in me. Tunak tunak tunak tunak vich tu In the rhythm, in the beat, you are there. Aape Ranjha You yourself are Ranjha (the lover). Aape Ranjha te aap vaanjhli You are Ranjha and you are also the flute. Aap kare koo koo You yourself make the “koo-koo” melody. Nimmi nimmi meethi meethi dooro kite Raanjhna ve Soft, sweet, like a kite flying far away, O beloved Ranjha, Aave teri vaanjhli di hook The pull/call of your flute reaches me. Gaal vich middiyaan te saanwha paya khiṇḍiyaan Dimples form on my cheeks, shadows meet and play. Jind sutti ae vichoheyaa ne phook Life had fallen asleep, but separation breathed fire into it. Range teri vaanjhli di hook The pull of your flute… Jaddo di main vakh hoyi galiyaan da khak hoyi Since I separated, the streets became empty and dusty. Hijraan de ghar mere saah chadhe phook In the house of separation, my breaths rise like flames. Range teri vaanjhli di hook The tug of your flute… Maut ni vihoni aandi je Miya Bakhtawara Death itself won’t dare to come near if Bakhtawar stands guard. Sambhi phire kaato kalboot The saint roams carrying the sharp blade of truth. Range teri vaanjhli di hook The pull of your flute… Nimmi nimmi meethi meethi dooro kite Raanjhna ve Soft, sweet, distant like a flying kite, O Ranjha, Aave teri vaanjhli di hook The call of your flute reaches me.

“The greatest disease in the West today is not TB or leprosy; it is being unwanted, unloved, and uncared for. We can cure physical diseases with medicine, but the only cure for loneliness, despair, and hopelessness is love. There are many in the world who are dying for a piece of bread but there are many more dying for a little love. The poverty in the West is a different kind of poverty -- it is not only a poverty of loneliness but also of spirituality. There's a hunger for love, as there is a hunger for God.” ― Mother Teresa
