A note from my Shivaratri
Late last night during Shivaratri I wrote something down; having forgotten and now re reading it I found it helpful so I wish to share it here.
'We have to bear in mind where we came from. Our self that appeared as life is a continuation and there is, behind us, in the grand unseen realm, a history of malignant thoughts. The tendency of the mind to be scattered, self defeatist, arises from a long game, which has been going on for millions of lives before you. Therefore, see the mind dispassionately, knowing it is a particular lense upon reality, not reality itself. The emotional movement, also, is not a factual reading of reality, but a phenomena to which you are the untouched witness.'
