Excluding competitor search terms
For my search campaigns, when is it appropriate to exclude competitor names? In general, they almost never lead to conversions but they also get very few clicks and therefore cost very little. I don't have any competitor names as keywords, however the search term report shows that they are broadly matching to some of my keywords. I've left them in over the years, but should I be excluding them if they aren't bringing conversions? Would excluding them help, for example, to boost my account by contributing to a better overall CTR and conversion rate? Would leaving them in help with overall impression share in some positive way? In other words, should these low volume search terms like competitor names be excluded if they aren't leading to conversions, even though they are costing very little? Thanks for any insights. 🙏
