48 hr challenge complete
I just did my first 4/48 hour challenge from Friday 8am - Sunday 8am and I found so many benefits that I wanted to share with everyone. Thank you David Goggins for coming up with this challenge. Every 4 hours on the hour complete a physical exercise for 30 minutes. So, I started at 8am Friday with a walk, 12pm was a workout and 4 pm I rode my stationary bike and then 8pm, 12am, 4am, 8am on it goes for 48 hours. The biggest challenge was not the exercise, even though it was 8x more exercise then I normally do in one day, but the lack of sleep and operating my day without crashing out. (Nap is your friend). Here are the five benefits and realizations I had - 1. My body is capable of so much more then I realize. 2. I need less sleep then I think. 3. Clarity and awareness are heightened when you are engaging in your life. 4. Peace and harmony shows up in the quiet. 5. I am so excited to continue to try more challenges and make myself science experiment. The takeaway is you are so much stronger then you could have ever imagined and getting outside our comfort zone has so many advantages. You are in control of yourself
When you make the connection that you don't have to let the circumstances of your life dictate to you the thoughts and emotions. You are in control of your emotions and get to decide how they will make you feel. It takes practice, but the life you want is on the other side of the effort you are not willing to put in. Wooooohooooo
Kindness matters
Too often we are nicer to everyone else, but ourselves. Do one nice thing for yourself today and treat yourself with respect and dignity. It will go along way for your mental fortitude.
